EMBROIDERY

  • LOW MINIMUMS

    Start with six.
Fast digital set up and colour changes make embroidery a great choice for small orders. Our multi head Tajima embroidery machine is an absolute powerhouse and more than capable of producing much bigger quantities if needed.

  • LOOKS

Embroidered clothing almost always looks far superior to anything else, yet the production costs are very similar to screen printing. Wanting to produce a garment that has that little bit extra? Embroidery might be just the right thing you need.

  • ADAPTABLE

Embroidery is very adaptable. As long as the item will fit onto our machine, we can embroider onto it. Almost all materials can be embroidered.

Items such as hats, toques, backpacks, jackets, hoodies, and polo shirts can all be embroidered.

  • COLOUR AT NO EXTRA COST

Unlike screen printing, embroidery is an entirely digital process. Setting up the machine for multiple thread colours is a breeze compared to a multi colour screen print.

THE PROCESS

DIGITIZING

Digitizing is the process of converting your design into a file that can be understood by an embroidery machine. The file works like a set of instructions that tell the machine when to trim or tie-in, what colour to change to next, and what type of stitch a particular design element requires.

Digitizing is a one-time fee that is normally around $30 to $40 for the average design. As the stitch count increases, for example a full-back embroidery design on a leather vest, the digitizing fee also increases. An unusually large design could be $100 or more.

STITCH COUNT

The term stitch count refers to the number of stitches, often thousands, required to recreate your design. As the stitch count increases, due to artwork size or complexity, so does the price.

Before your order moves forward we will always provide an estimated stitch count and price quote for your approval.

THREAD COLOURS

We use Gunold as our thread supplier. Their catalogue of poly, sulky, cotton, and fire resistant threads are available in hundreds of colours. Although most threads can be matched closely to a Pantone, finding an exact match to an accompanying screen print may not always be possible - but it will be close!

SAMPLE STITCH OUTS

After all of the threads are set up on our machine, we load up each head with a piece of sample fabric and run a sample stitch out before moving onto production.

At this stage we can adjust all of our needles and thread tensions to be performing at their best, across all of the machine’s heads.
